TUTUgether in Valley Fair

As an independent creative studio rooted in the Bay Area Chinese community, we help small local businesses build their brands. Our strength lies in delivering true end-to-end services. For YeYe, a neighborhood drink and coconut snack shop in San Francisco's Sunset District, we provided a complete brand transformation. We bridged the gap between digital identity and physical reality by managing every touchpoint: visual identity, lifestyle photography, spatial storefront design, and final physical installation.
1. Visual Identity & Brand Refresh
The Sunset District is a unique cultural hub known for its tight-knit community and bustling food scene. To appeal to a multi-generational demographic, we developed a playful, anthropomorphic coconut mascot paired with organic, rounded custom typography. The chosen primary color—a rich, earthy moss green—evokes natural freshness and stands out distinctly against the city’s fog. The logo asset scales effortlessly from digital menus to physical merchandise. To cultivate community pride, we extended this visual language into a curated line of custom apparel, high-quality tote bags, and trucker hats that turn everyday customers into brand ambassadors.
2. Lifestyle & Product Photography
A brand comes to life through its imagery. We conceptualized and executed a comprehensive lifestyle and product photography campaign to establish YeYe’s digital and print presence. Rather than relying on sterile studio setups, we opted for an editorial style that captured the true essence of the neighborhood. We shot the menu items utilizing natural, diffused light to highlight the fresh textures of the coconut snacks. Alongside product shots, we captured candid lifestyle imagery of local community members wearing the merchandise. Handling the photography in-house ensured that the lighting, color grading, and emotional tone perfectly matched the new brand identity.
3. Storefront Outfit Design & Windows
The physical storefront serves as the ultimate manifestation of the brand. We took on the comprehensive "outfit design" of the brick-and-mortar location, transforming a standard commercial facade into an eye-catching local landmark. We designed high-visibility exterior signage that proudly displays the new typography and mascot, ensuring readability for passing foot traffic and drivers. Moving closer to the shop, we designed custom window clings. These vinyl decals strike a careful balance between artistic storytelling and functional marketing—showcasing whimsical illustrations of the mascot while maintaining transparency so passersby can see the inviting interior.
4. Execution & Physical Installation
What sets our studio apart is our commitment to seeing a project through to the final nail. We personally managed and executed the print production and physical installation phases. Overseeing production meant selecting premium, weather-resistant material finishes capable of withstanding the Sunset’s notorious ocean fog. Our hands-on approach to the final installation guaranteed that every graphic alignment was mathematically precise and bubble-free. By taking full accountability for the physical execution, we preserved the creative vision with 100% fidelity from concept to completion.
